At Lily Shippen, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality content that provides value to our fantastic clients and candidates. However, we also believe it's important for our network to get to know us on a more personal level. After all, we are more than just a recruitment business - we are a team of individuals with unique personalities, interests, and quirks. So, although we are quite active on our socials, and you may think you know everything there is to know about our amazing team, we bet you didn’t know these things!

•    Our Managing Director, Lily, once worked as a milkman before she entered the world of recruitment. She still jokes that delivering milk was her "first job in sales". How long do you think she lasted in this role?

•    Our Director, Kathryn, has a strange habit of only wearing her socks inside out. She says it makes them more comfortable. I'm not sure I can agree with her on this, but each to their own!

•    Our Operations Manager, Emily, sleeps upside down every night because she thinks it helps her sleep better. We can't confirm whether or not it works, but she is always full of energy, which makes me think it does!

•    Our Marketing Executive, Izzy, has a hidden talent - she plays the drums! When she's not busy promoting Lily Shippen, you might find her behind a drum set. I imagine she is a very noisy neighbour!

•    Our Managing Consultant, Victoria, has a very specific food preference - she eats beetroot with every meal (where possible). This comes from a lady who has a very fussy palate! She says it's a great way to add some colour and nutrition to her diet.

•    Our Senior Principal Consultant, Samantha, is absolutely petrified of spiders, especially the kind with thick hairy legs. We make sure to check the office for any creepy crawlies before she arrives!

•    Our Consultant, Sophie, had a peculiar way of communicating when she was little. Instead of speaking, she would growl her words! Luckily, she's since learned how to talk normally.

•    And what about me? Well, I have an unusual morning habit where I listen to the same song every day when getting ready for work because it sets me up for the day ahead. The song is 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' by Tears For Fears. Why? I have no idea, but it just makes me happy!

So there you have it - some fun and quirky facts about the Lily Shippen team. We're a diverse group of individuals with some unusual traits, but we all share a passion for recruitment and helping our clients find the best talent, and our candidates find their dream roles!
