Recruitment entrepreneur Lily Shippen has set up an online community for all business support professionals, due to the period of uncertainty that the world is currently facing, because of COVID-19.

Lily, 26, who’s company specialises in recruiting PAs, EAs and secretaries from all over the UK as well  as internationally, says that she is trying to turn this daunting time, into something positive and collaborative for business support professionals.

“Some Personal Assistants and Executive Assistants will be used to working from home and some will have never worked from home before, so if one person can learn from another and offer support through this difficult time, then it’s worth doing. Our aim is to create a community.

“We set up a LinkedIn group yesterday and a WhatsApp group and have been amazed with how many PAs are already sharing useful tips and jokes, to support one another. We have people from across the UK on the group and it’s amazing to see how people are coming together when they’ve never even met each other before.

“We are currently planning a range of virtual events for PAs, EAs and all Business Support Professionals and hope to be able to support self-employed trainers and other small businesses by collaborating with them. We will be announcing more details soon.”

The LinkedIn group, called ‘PAs Together’ is open to anyone across the world who is a business support professional. Once in the LinkedIn group, there is a free link to join the WhatsApp group.
