Now, let’s talk about AI! AI for EAs, PAs, and administrative professionals.
I’m here not just to share insights but also to learn and grow with all of you. So, are you all ready for this?
Well, I hope so!
When I think about AI, I like to think of it as a powerful tool, not a scary monster. I believe it is all about collaboration and knowledge sharing to enhance our productivity and make our lives easier.
The truth is, AI is here to stay. It’s time for us to switch to power mode and leverage it to our advantage. Handling multiple reports, spreadsheets, and documents can be overwhelming—but as you’ve probably already heard—AI can be a huge help by managing a variety of tasks. As an EA myself, I’ve seen the impact AI can have on our workload. From reviewing documents to assisting with work planning and quickly creating agendas, AI proves to be an ally.
We—EAs, PAs, and Admins—excel at managing details, so think of AI as a third eye. Imagine you need to join a last-minute meeting with key stakeholders, take minutes, and follow up on actions. With so many details to cover, AI can be a huge help. It can create a meeting agenda, transcribe conversations, and develop action items—all based on your instructions—saving you valuable time.
To make the most of AI, provide clear and detailed guidelines.
As I like to say: Be descriptive, not brief! The more information you provide, the better the results. Engage in a full conversation—provide context, assign roles, explore details, and seek AI’s input. This approach will maximise AI’s potential.
I’ve started integrating AI into my daily routine, using it for travel tips, schedule creation, and even developing recipes. This curiosity led me to wonder how other Executive Assistants are using AI and how it could assist with my work.
